Eddie Wakes is an American jazz and soul vocalist celebrated for his velvety baritone voice and timeless interpretations of the Great American Songbook. Hailing from Topeka, Kansas, Wakes was immersed in music from a young age, performing alongside his eight brothers in church and school talent showcases. His father, a pastor and accomplished singer, once received an invitation from Lionel Hampton to perform with his big band, underscoring the family’s deep musical roots. ​

Wakes’ vocal style draws inspiration from legendary artists such as Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Sam Cooke, and Ella Fitzgerald. His rich, wide-range baritone has garnered acclaim from notable figures in the entertainment industry.
